Abstract
A microwave-assisted method for the synthesis of tetracyclic tetrahydropyridines via an intramolecular imino-Diels-Alder reaction in water is reported. The reaction proceeds under catalyst-free conditions and shows excellent stereoselectivity. © 2016 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
